It's another instance of liberal bias run amock. The New York Times and its story alleging an affair between Senator John McCain and a Lobbyist he had connections to has done more damage to a paper that continues to drop in readership. What Irony? The Times firsr endoreses McCain, and yet as Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly predicted, the New York Times would turn on the Senator if he became the front runner on the Republican ticket. For now, McCain seems to be garnering support from conservative supporters, yet how long will that wave last?
Conservatives are still a little bit skiddish regarding McCain's voring record over the last year dealing with Immigration and Amnesty issues last Spring which sparked a backlash of conservative listerners to talk radio flooding the phone lines on Capitol Hill crying for the rule of law, and for that fence between the border states and Mexico to be built, and built now. McCain also has had to deal with McCain - Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, and a number of other issues that need to be resolved in an effort to mend fences with voters who have seen their candidates they were supporting go by the wayside. You have to hand it to the Senator, and his decision to support the surge. It was that decision that ressurected a campiagn that looked not so healthy to a campaign where he is the lone candidate left. If the Arizona senator can come away with a clean bill of free of scandals and other political landmines, his next step is to resume the training regimen necessary to gain knowledge and education regarding his policies and issues he is going to stand for. Time will tell as there are still nine months left until Election Day in November.
